On Air The Morning Show Marc Tyley | 9:30am - Noon

#MRWomenToday listen again: Strictly same sex, women's fitness injuries and being well in Ramsey

On the programme today: -

- we were joined in the studio by Josie Corrin, Director of Pastoral Care and Wellbeing at Ramsey Grammar School, who came in to tell us all about the Staff Wellbeing Week that's being trialed in the school at the moment. Activities include everything from Museum walks, to Art & Meditation, to Astronomy lectures - and plenty of fitness of course! To find out more about it, you can call Ramsey Grammar School on 811100

- we spoke on the phone with BUPA's Medical Director Dr Steve Iley about concerns that the growing success of women's team sports is leading to a significant rise in sports related injuries, as they are often trained by men at the same level. Dr Iley gave us some great advice on how to look after yourself, whether playing team sports at as competitive level, or just while following your own personal exercise regime; find out more at their website here;

- we asked you whether Strictly Come Dancing should be less strict on it’s coupling policy, and introduce same-sex pairs, following on from claims that contestant, comedian Susan Calman who is a lesbian, said she’s been criticised on social media for taking part in the programme and dancing with a man;

- and we found out how you can get round that irritating problem of taking a 2nd pair of shoes to work by buying into the new craze - shoes with interchangeable heels!

If you missed the show, you can listen again for the next 7 days at this link. Tomorrow, we're joined by our two regular contributors, Women Today GP Dr John Snelling, and Jane Hall from the Manx Art Directory. Tune in from 2pm!
