On Air One to Three Christy Dehaven | 1:00pm - 3:00pm

#MRWomenToday listen again: Mera Royle and Chloe Woolley

On the programme today, we were joined in the studio by harpist Mera Royle, who is one of two local musicians nominated for this year's BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards along with Manx fiddle player Isla Callister, and we're delighted that she also played a tune live for us in the studio (you can see the video of her playing on our YouTube channel below).

- also today, as it's Cervical Cancer Awareness Week we talked about how important it is to get your smears done regularly - you can find out more information about the Island's screening programme here, and either speak with your practice nurse at your GP surgery, or contact the Staywell Clinic on 642638.

- Ewan Gawne spoke to a producer from the Channel 5 programme Blind Date, as the show is currently on the lookout for Islanders of all ages, sexualities and genders to take part in the latest series. To apply you can contact 0207 1573328 or email BlindDate@SOTelevision.co.uk

- and we were also joined by Chloe Woolley from Culture Vannin, who told us all about the upcoming Manx Folk Awards. To find out more, go the ManxMusic Website.

If you missed the programme, you can listen again at this link for the next 7 days. Tomorrow, we'll be finding out all about the Singularity University. Join us from 2pm!
