Adam Shuttleworth hosting 'crash course' in February
A seventeen-year-old Manx swimmer is hoping to help other people with hearing impairments on the Island learn how to swim.
Adam Shuttleworth is a teacher and coach at the Western Swimming Pool, in Peel, and next month will be hosting a specialist 'crash course' for children who are hard of hearing.
Lessons will be held between 20 and 23 February and will cater to children aged between four and 10.
Adam told Manx Radio why he's hosting the lessons and about his hopes to compete in the Deaflympics in Tokyo in 2025:

If the lessons prove popular it's hoped they'll continue on a weekly basis.

The crash course for children with hearing impairments will take place from 20-23 February.
Lessons are available for children aged between four and six years old, between 9.30am-10am, and aged seven to 10 from 10am-10.30am.
