Ravens return to The Bowl to face Prestwich Heys

Manx side could return to play-off spots with win

After six consecutive matches on the road, FC Isle of Man are back on Manx soil this weekend as they welcome Prestwich Heys in the NWCFL Premier Division tomorrow evening (9 September).

With ten games played to this point, FC Isle of Man find themselves in a positive place in the league on sixteen points and a win on Saturday could see them propelled back into the promotion play-off spots.

However, they face a Prestwich Heys team who they lost to home and away in the last campaign.

FC Isle of Man Manager, Paul Jones, says he and his side are well aware of the qualities their latest opponents possess:

The Manx side's current total of sixteen points sees them lying ninth in the table after ten games and are one of four teams currently on that points haul going into the weekend.

Following a run of four straight wins up until 26 August, a slight dip in results has seen the Ravens register one draw and two defeats in the last three - the most recent result coming in midweek in a disappointing 3-1 loss at newly-promoted Pilkington.

Meanwhile, this Saturday's visitors, Prestwich Heys, are enjoying some strong league form of late having recorded four wins in their last five including a 2-0 victory in midweek against Padiham.

They also showed superiority twice over FC Isle of Man last season - first with a commanding 3-0 win over the Island outfit at The Bowl on 17 September, 2022 before securing a late 1-0 win in the reverse fixture at Adie Moran Park on 25 February this year.

FC Isle of Man vs Prestwich Heys will take place at The Bowl this Saturday (9 September), kicking-off at 6pm.

Manx Radio will be providing full live match commentary on our DAB and AM1368 channels.
