Entertaining racing in first round of Manx Rally Championship
Steve Colley and Kirsty Duke have taken the top prize in the first Isle of Man rally event of the calendar year.
The pairing secured top spot in E Class and overall in the 2024 Ormco Accounts Stages in Jurby held on Saturday, 24 February, with the duo finishing in a time of 48 minutes 56 seconds across the ten stages.
Fellow E-Class competitors Steven Ormond-Smith & Ealish Baxter (49 minutes 36 seconds) and Sean Kelly & Jack Corlett (51 minutes 12 seconds) secured second and third overall respectively.
Elsewhere, the highest D-Class finishers were Michael Savino and Liam Ruddock (53 minutes) with a close finish between second and third in the category respectively for Chris Heyes & Rick Sutcliffe (55 minutes 12 seconds) and Tim Cole and David Sutcliffe (55 minutes 18 seconds).
Meanwhile, Ross Tunney and Walter Bridson took a commanding win in C-Class (53 minutes four seconds) whilst Mick Taylor and Rory McCann were the fastest B-Class crew despite receiving a 20-second penalty (55 minutes 27 seconds).
