Michael Evans takes a Junior/Senior MGP double.

Another MGP title for Santon's Michael Evans

With a record on the opening lap, Santon's Michael Evans continued his cracking form of the week in the Manx Grand Prix Senior Race.

The delayed start didnt worry Evans. He built a lead of 6 seconds on Barry Lee Evans    with Jamie Williams third at the end of lap one. He continued building on that advantage  with an absolute Manx Grand Prix lap record of 122.86 miles an hour at the end of lap two, slowing for the pits.

At the half way stage, two laps,  it was Michael Evans  leading Barry Lee Evans by ten seconds. Dean Osborne moved into third,  ahead of Jamies Williams. A loose chain forced Barry Lee Evans into the pits but he held second place into the last lap.

So  for the first time since 2011, a Junior Senior double, and an absolute lap record for Michael Evans. A comfortable winning margin of over a minute.

Second Barry Lee Evans from Wales.

Third local man , Dean Osborne
