Thirty five questions tabled
The Island's Parliament meets this morning (21 Nov) to discuss reports, make statements, and ask questions in amongst other business.
Over twenty items are subject to motions on Tynwald's order paper, with thirty five questions tabled, twenty three of which are for oral answer.
Topics for debate include opening times for the Manx Museum, the re-organisation of Ramsey Cottage Hospital, and the Island's reputation in the wake of the Paradise Papers.
This morning (21 Nov) Parliament will receive the mid-year report on the Programme for Government, which measures whether the Quayle administration's been meeting its own targets.
Other items include a series of recommendations on parliamentary reform first suggested by Lord Lisvane, as well as proposals on personal capability assessments.
Questions come from all quarters and cover everything from patient transfer services and tuition fees, to TV licences.
Asking the Chief Minister to make a statement about a proposed single EU VAT area is Onchan Member Julie Edge.
Manx Radio also features with questions from Daphne Caine MHK on the cost of visualisation, and of the plurality of media outlets on the Isle of Man free from state subsidy.
