Suzy Richardson was 'much loved' in Island life

The girl with the bubbly personality and infectious giggle

One of the most-loved personalities and best-known voices in Manx Radio's history has died.

Suzy Richardson passed away at the Hospice on Friday evening.

She’s been described as a natural radio talent with a bubbly personality and ubiquitous giggle.

Suzy started out on the radio in 1972 and stayed in the industry for decades, building up a big fan base who loved her easy manner and warm demeanour.

For many she will be remembered for presenting ‘Swap Shop’ a show which had its own characters as she recalled in a conversation with Alex Brindley in 2014, during Manx Radio's 50th anniversary celebrations.
