RTLC defends taxi tariff changes

Prices have gone up and a higher overnight rate is now implemented from 11pm

The body that decides how much taxis on the Island can charge has been defending its changes.

Prices were increased on Monday, and a higher tariff for overnight fares now comes into force from 11pm instead of midnight.

Barry Murphy has been a taxi driver for more than 20 years.

He told Manx Radio he's been abused while working nights on a number of occasions, and thinks this change will make the situation worse:
