Restrictions on gambling sponsorships being introduced in the Premier League have been a 'long time coming'.

That's from the chief executive of Celton Manx - a company that provides a platform for sports betting and casino games, and also sponsors Leeds United.

Gambling brands will be withdrawn from the front of matchday shirts by the end of the 2025-26 season, but they will still be allowed on sleeves.

Bill Mummery - who is also Manx Radio's chairman -  says while he understands it's there to protect people, Italy enforced a similar rule years ago that was terminated after five years because they found it had no impact:
