Residents in the south 'weren't told about windfarm plans'

Facebook group set up for people with concerns

A group has been organised for residents in the south of the Island who have concerns about a proposed windfarm.

Chair of Manx Utilities Tim Crookall announced plans in Tynwald last week which could see a 20 Megawatt farm built by 2026.

A private group has been set up by Arbory and Rushen Commissioner Kirrie Jenkins, for residents in the south of the Island who have concerns about the potential for four to five wind turbines.

She says there are concerns about the lack of information available to residents and there is no environmental report.
