Not long left for Homestay registration

Deadline mid-March

Homeowners in the Isle of Man have less than a month left to register for this year's Homestay schemes.

The system allows residents to host paying guests for both the TT Races and the Festival of Motorcycling.

Homestay can be offered for any number of nights between 26 May and the 8 June for the TT, or between 18 and 31 August for the Festival of Motorcycling.

Last year over 850 properties were registered, with some earning as much as £1,800 tax-free for TT alone.

The number of visitors for the two events in 2017 rose by 3,000 from the previous year, climbing to over 61,000 in total.

Homeowners must register if they wish to take part in the scheme this year, and have until Monday, 12 March to do so.
