New CRHS expected to be finished in 2029

Education minister publishes estimated timeline for work

A new Castle Rushen High School could be built by March 2029.

The education minister has just published an estimated timeline for the scheme.

Julie Edge says project work is expected to start at the end February next year, which will take around 106 weeks.

Tynwald approval will then be sought for the designs in February 2026.

If that all goes to plan, it's hoped work on-site could start in November of that year, with an anticipated construction period of 30 months.

Ms Edge has stressed that these timelines are only estimations at this stage.
