MU employees in UK to restore power outages caused by Storm Ciaran

Five staff helping customers near Sevenoaks

Manx Utilities workers have responded to calls for help in the United Kingdom after Storm Ciaran caused widespread disruption.

Five members of staff have travelled to the UK Power Networks southern depot in Sevenoaks.

They’ll be helping restore customer supplies following the bad weather.

It’s part of the North East South West Area Consortium agreement which sees network operators offer mutual aid during and after emergencies.

The MU staff will have their time paid for by the electricity provider requiring support.
