More Manx produce laid on at festival

Day two of annual food and drink outing

It's day two of the Isle of Man Food and Drink Festival, and local producers are preparing to serve a new influx of visitors the best the sector has to offer.

The event drew large crowds to the Villa Marina gardens yesterday, where tastings, demonstrations, live entertainment, competitions and a cocktail-making master class were among the attractions.

You can visit the festival today between 10am and 5pm.

It's the biggest annual showcase of the fast-growing Manx artisan food sector - and this year has drawn-in a number of visitors from the UK.

A key event to market and sell their produce, stallholders aim to win new customers, and spread the word about the benefits of 'buying local'.

Sue Woodall and Rita Wells from Ladies in Pigs, an organisation dedicated to marketing British and now Manx, pork say it's been a real eye-opener.
