Minor Injuries and Illnesses Unit to shut this weekend

Facility won't open on Sunday due to staffing issues

Ramsey's Minor Injuries and Illnesses Unit will be shut tomorrow (Sunday 11 February) due to staffing issues.

Manx Care has confirmed the MIU will be open today until 8pm, with last admission at 7:30pm.

However, on Sunday, anyone with a minor injury or illness who would ordinarily have attended the MIU is asked to attend the Emergency Department at Noble's Hospital instead.

A minor injuries service will be provided.

Alternatively, for support with minor ailments or illnesses, people can attend one of the Island’s Community Pharmacies.

Meanwhile, Manx Care says to allow for 'essential work to be carried out', the Oncology car park at Noble's Hospital will be closed from today (Saturday 10 February) for up to 10 days.

Designated car parking for Oncology patients has been signposted in Bay 1 of the Main Car Park (this is the first bay on the right as you enter).

The healthcare provider is asking that only those with Oncology appointments use these spaces until the essential works are complete.
