Manannan suffers mechanical issue but sailings continuing

Vessel running on three engines instead of four

The Steam Packet says its engineering team is working round the clock to repair a technical issue with one of the four engines aboard the fast craft Manannan.

Sailings to Liverpool are able to continue safely though journey times will be extended to 3 hours 30 minutes hours from the normal 2 hours 45 minutes.

All affected passengers are being contacted by the company's reservations team.

The new schedule looks like this.

Liverpool sailings between Friday 10th, May and Monday 13th, May (inclusive) have been rescheduled as follows:

•           Douglas to Liverpool 07:15hrs will now depart at 06:45hrs

•           Liverpool to Douglas 11:15hrs will now depart at 11:30hrs

•           Douglas to Liverpool 15:00hrs will now depart at 16:15hrs

•           Liverpool to Douglas 19:15hrs will now depart at 21:00hrs

In addition, Dublin sailings on Sunday 12th, May have been rescheduled as follows:

•           Douglas to Dublin 07:00hrs will now depart at 06:30hrs

•           Dublin to Douglas 10:45hrs will now depart at 11:15hrs
