Art exhibition featured 'remarkable pieces' by students

An art exhibition 'capturing the essence of maritime life' at Kewaigue School has raised £318 for the RNLI.

Featuring artwork by students at the school, admission to the show was free but donations were welcomed.

Accepting the donation on behalf of the life-saving charity, the Douglas branch of the RNLI said it 'extends its heartfelt gratitude'.

It also highlighted one painting, which the charity said 'stood out for its captivating portrayal of the sea's power and beauty' amongst 'the remarkable pieces displayed'.

A spokesperson said: "Titled 'Storm' and crafted by the talented Ferris, this artwork exemplifies the incredible talent and dedication of the young artists involved."
