Plans to go on public display
Dandara says people will be able to see its plans for a major housing project in Ballasalla within the next four weeks.
It's understood the proposals include Dandara providing the majority of funding for a bypass, to help ease traffic through the village.
The developer has issued a statement to Manx Radio on the matter.
It says in-depth work for a potential development on the land, which has been zoned for housing as part of the area plan for the south, has been ongoing for many months.
The proposed scheme will be available for public viewing at Malew commissioners’ office within the next four weeks, with a view to submitting the planning application four to six weeks after that.
It finishes by saying that, subject to the planning process running smoothly, Dandara anticipates that before the end of 2020, tailbacks in Ballasalla will be a thing of the past.
