Investigator comments at end of case
The woman in charge of the investigation into a serial rapist says his victims will be 'relieved' a final appeal against conviction has been turned down.
Forty-six year old William Henry Kelly was found guilty of 10 counts of rape, four counts of indecent assault and another two of assault against three women in May this year.
He has always denied committing the crimes.
At Douglas Courthouse yesterday, Deemster Doyle and Judge of Appeal Geoffrey Tattersall took just seconds to deliver their decision to quash Kelly's case.
