A Manx company is planning to spend $500 million bringing a derelict hotel in America’s Catskill Mountains back to its former glory.
The Nevele Grande Hotel played host to comedians such as Buddy Hackett and Milton Berle before it closed and fell into disuse.
But Claremont Partners says it’ll raze the old buildings and build a new 450-room hotel, golf course, spa, and icerink.
The company says the project will go ahead if it’s granted a New York casino license.
Those behind the plan say it would provide about 1,500 jobs.
